The original school remains as a two storey building, and is used to deliver the National Curriculum subjects from Year 7 to Year Our school numbers are increasing, currently 73 pupils on roll with an overall capacity of 80 students at present. A small number of pupils join us on a Shared Placement arrangement, and operate on a split weekly timetable between Atkinson House, and their host mainstream school.
This is slowly reducing in numbers as the demand for full time places increases. As a school, we also have a hugely important and exciting link with our partner school in the Gambia, which caters for close to nursery age pupils. This collaboration has been really successfully over recent years and one which we will continue to develop with the support of our pupils, staff and community.
Community is important to us and we have many links with the surrounding areas to develop positive relationships and support of each other. Our Community Task Force regulalry assists in the community, supporting building works and regeneration of local areas.
