The book reminded me of the movie with Mel Gibson, "What Women Want" wherein he could read women's minds after an accident where he received an electrical shock. This kind of had that same feeling going in it. The leading character, Lucy, after a fall on ice and bumping her head while a live electric wire touched the sole of her rubber boot and kind of gave her a shock and thereafter, she could sometimes read peoples minds also, not always, but some of the time, which made for some humor in the book. It was a book of fantasy, suspense, humor, and light romance.
Michaels books there are always pets, and this one was no different, there were two large dogs and one tiny Yorkshire thrown in the mix which made for some excitement and fun. Oct 12, Maryann rated it it was ok. I started this book just to have something to listen to during a long drive. I do occasionally enjoy the light romantic read. In this case, I found the plot holes quite distracting, things like someone conveniently not noticing the wedding invites that were right in front of them until the story found it necessary that they be seen.
Or the whole sudden temporary psychic abilities I give it a five. A good story This story makes me think of the saying" You never know what's around the corner" In this case next door. Aug 08, Carmen rated it did not like it. It started off pretty intense and then it just seemed to get bogged down.

I grew up, got a job, got married, had five kids. When my youngest went off to Kindergarten, my husband told me to get off my ass and get a job. Those were his exact words. The library was a magical place for me. It still is to this day. Rather than face the outside world with no skills, I decided to write a book. As my husband said at the time, stupid is as stupid does. Moving right along here. Several years ago I left Ballantine Books, parted company with my agent, sold my house in New Jersey that I had lived in all my married life and in moved to South Carolina.
I figured if I was going to go through trauma let it be all at one time. It was a breeze. The kids were all on their own at that point. In "Sick and Twisted", young Alison Rey plays hooky from school pretending to be ill, gets caught by step-momma Elexis and as surely Night follows the Day, they have sex together.
Yes, Elexis, her face looking rather aged due to the dumb eyelashes that makeup lady Lisa Sloane insists on applying to all the gals in these videos, plus far too much makeup, is caught sniffing her kid Kimmy Granger's panties. Kimmy mischievously leaves a trail hence the dumb title of her panties on the floor leading to the laundry room, where she springs out and humps her step-mom. Good luck with that, viewers at home.
